Poplar Hill Cottage is a quaint garden-themed cottage that is the perfect get-a-way in the beautiful scenic mountains of Southwest Virginia.  Furnished with reproduction furniture, the cottage is located in the historic Poplar Hill neighborhood.  With all the comforts of home, and adjacent to other fine homes, the Cottage comfortably accommodates up to six (6) guests.  It features three (3) bedrooms, two (2) full baths, a kitchen and living room.

   Cottage furnishings and equipment include tasteful furnishings, microwave, refrigerator, oven, dishes, cooking utensils, silverware, kitchen towels, and glassware.  Bath towels, and bedroom linens, including mattress covers, pillows, blankets, sheets, and pillor cases.  A phone is not provided, however, most cell phones operate at the facility.  Cable Service is provided, and a TV and DVD player are on site.

Reservations for the Poplar Hill Cottage can be made by calling the Southwest Virginia Museum at (276)523-1322 between 10 AM and 4 PM, Monday through Friday.  Reservations can be made up to eleven (11) months in advance.  Reservations may also be made in person, at the museum during regular open hours.

Payment must be made in full and received at the Southwest Virginia Museum within 14 days after the reservation is made.

Credit Card Payment may be made by phone (Visa or MasterCard), or by mailing a check or money order.  Please make these payable to the Treasurer of Virginia.  Cash payments may be accepted when making on-site reservations.

Cancellations must be made one month prior to arrival date to receive a full refund.  All cancellations made less than one month prior to arrival date will be subject to a $20.00 cancellation fee.
