Friday, July 1, 2005 was an exciting day at the Southwest Virginia Museum! Julius (Dallas Cowboys) and Thomas Jones (Chicago Bears) were the guests of honor as Sharon B. Ewing, Museum Director welcomed the many fans/friends to a Healthy Lifestyle reception which was held in their honor. The Honorable Terry Kilgore, Delegate, provided opening remarks, and Paul Kuzcko, Director of the Lonesome Pine Office on Youth introduced the Jones Family to all those in attendance.

The event was sponsored by the Lonesome Pine Office on Youth, The Gap Corporation, The Post Newspaper, and the Slemp Education Endowment.
Additional support was provided by the Big Stone Gap Fire Department, Big Stone Gap Police Department, L.J. Horton Florist, Mountain Empire Community College, Southwest Virginia Museum Volunteers, the Jones Family, University of Virginia's College at Wise, and the Valley Fire Department.
