Quilting has long been a mainstay of Appalachian culture and heritage.  For centuries, quilts have not only been used for warmth, but also as adornment and even as a method of communication.  Over 150 quilts will be on display offering an endless array of styles and patterns, each with its own "personality."  Of special interest will be author Jane Hicks' quilt creations.  Look for her entries in the show and attend her poetry-reading on May 10.  Schedule guided group tours by calling (276)523-1322.
