
~ A Rental Facility for Gatherings/Meetings
RESERVATION
PROCEDURES
A tentative reservation will be made at the time of
initial contact. This reservation date will be
tentatively held for fourteen (14) days. The park will
forward you a Rental Agreement and Rental Guidelines.
Please sign the agreement and return it with payment in
full by the agreed deadline. If your initial contact is
not made within (14) days prior to the event, then
payment in full is due on the initial contact date.
Payments may be made in cash, check, or money order.
Please make checks payable to the Treasurer of Virginia
and send the check to Southwest Virginia Museum, P.O.
Box 742, Big Stone Gap, VA 24219.
SIZE OF FACILITY
The Victorian Parlor can seat up to thirty (30) people
with tables and chairs. The room can hold up to fifty
(50) people with a head table and chairs. If the
basement hallway is also rented, the available space
will hold up to seventy-five (75) people with a head
table and no chairs.
CANCELLATIONS
Full refunds will be given if the event is canceled
sixty (60) days prior to the scheduled date. There will
be no refunds after that time. It is to your advantage
to rent the facility as far in advance as possible.
RESCHEDULING EVENTS
An event may be rescheduled, based on the availability
of the facility, set to two (2) weeks prior to the
original reservation date. Rescheduling of events is
limited to one time only.
BOOKING THE
FACILITY
The Victorian Parlor is booked in blocks of 4 hours.
Deliveries, arrivals, set-up, clean up, pick-ups and
departures must be considered in your planning time.
Prior arrangements need to be made if you need to leave
items until the next day.
EVENT COMPLETION
AND CLEAN UP
Events must be completely over and the clean up
completed by the end of your rental period. It is the
responsibility of the renter to allow enough time to
clean up after the event. Any function that exceeds the
scheduled time will be charged an additional fee.
