Friends of the Southwest Virginia Musuem Historical State Park is a qualified Section 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations received by the Friends group are tax deductible in accordance with Federal and state laws, and will be used to benefit programs and initiatives of the Southwest Virginia Musuem. Be sure to include your name and mailing address so that we can provide you with an appropriate receipt documenting your donation for tax purposes.
If you are interested in making a cash donation, a drop box is located at the front desk of the museum, or please contact the Friends group to arrange for receipt of the donation.
PayPal
Donations may be made online to the Friends group via PayPal, using the “Donate” button below. PayPal enables you to make a donation for the dollar amount of your choosing using a major credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover), or your PayPal account. There is no service charge or fee to you for this service. Your credit or debit card, or your PayPal account, will be charged the dollar amount that you donate, and your entire donation is tax deductible in accordance with Federal and state laws. You will also receive an email acknowledgement of your donation from PayPal.
Disclosure: When you use the PayPal “Donate” button, below, to make your donation, PayPal will charge the Friends group a small processing fee for their service (2.2% plus $0.30). This fee is automatically deducted from your donation by PayPal; the Friends group receives the remainder of your donation and will use all of that money to benefit the State Park. The Friends group pays this nominal fee to PayPal for the convenience and security of their service.
